Of Threads and Time is a capsule of six handwoven creations, each bearing the imprint of classical design, woven in Banaras using heritage techniques of exceptional finesse. Crafted in Kora silk and its diaphanous tissue variants, the collection celebrates the airy grace and archival complexity of museum-grade weaving. From the shimmer of sheer paisley bootis to the intricate restraint of an allover resham weave, every piece reflects Tilfi’s enduring dedication to handloom mastery.
The designs in the collection evoke a sense of quiet permanence.Borders of Time, with its unembellished body and angular paisley border, grounds the collection in stillness and strength.Scattered Light offers a sense of gentle abundance, a field of bootis that catch and hold the light.Crimson Passage revives the historic rangkat weave in rich, diagonal blocks of reds and maroons, whileWoven Breath recalls the subtle brilliance of an allover resham jaal, indistinguishable in front or reverse.Drifting Light, the lightest of them all, is a whisper of silk tissue and elongated paisleys, luminous and minimal.

The Campaign
Accompanying the collection is a cinematic campaign shot within a house once lived in and never quite left behind. The film follows a woman returning to her mother’s home and her sarees — and in them, finding herself. The voiceover, spare and intimate, traces the slow act of belonging. Like the collection, it is a portrait woven in light, silence, and thread.
