An extremely nuanced piece of art, evocative of the incredible intricacy of Mughal miniature paintings. Valuing colour balance, precision and minute detail, this meticulously handwoven Banarasi drape builds on and celebrates our enchanting legacy of heritage craftsmanship. Featuring beautiful floral motifs, encased in an opulent roopa sona zari jaal and breathtaking multi-coloured meenakari, this saree is an evergreen handloom marvel.
-
Color - A stunning shade of Deep Maroon
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - A stunning kadwa meenakari jangla pattern and a rich blooming aanchal brought to life by beautiful Banarasi artistry, making this saree a distinctive and lasting piece of handloom art. Each flower, its shades and outlines, has been individually woven, requiring 70 hand movements for a single line of weaving.
- Pairing - This saree can also be optionally paired with a delicately hand-embroidered odhani in pure Silk Organza, adorned with zari, dabka and resham aari work that complements the saree.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
- Expected Despatch Time - 1 week
