-
Color - A shade of Light Yellow
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and Meenakari. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Collection note - A pioneering take on the Banarasi brocade, Tilfi's Quarter to Time collection finds artistic synergies between 18th century French Rococo art and heritage Banarasi craftsmanship, marrying silhouettes that have defined feminine wardrobes across diverse cultures and eras.
