Rangana
A Banarasi Rangkat masterpiece featuring a distinctive pattern with faint pastel colours, a glorious Kadhua bootidaar body and a sublime contrast of textures - Katan, Tissue and Tussar silk. All woven together in zari made of pure silver for a breathtaking symphony.
-
Color - Delicate and light pastel colours
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - Rangkat is a handloom technique which is on the verge of disappearing. Only a handful of weavers remain that can weave a true Rangkat. This exquisite and time-intensive technique can be identified by the sharp changes in the base colours of the fabric. This requires multiple changes in the warp and the weft and produces a beautiful multicoloured garment.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
-
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes only.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
