Tilfi’s 'Circle of Life' textile artwork is a quiet meditation on time and transformation. Woven with four changing colors in the exquisite Rangkat technique, it mirrors the shifting seasons, each hue marking the passage of time in nature’s endless rhythm. Across these transitions, Kadhua vines stretch—delicate yet deliberate—evoking the essence of each season: its bloom, its retreat, its renewal. At theKoniya, a delicate motif symbolizes the solstice and equinox, unifying the composition into a seamless weave of the 'Circle of Life.'
The intricacy of the piece reveals itself only to a keen observer. Every woven detail speaks of patience and precision, preserving an ancient technique while offering a contemporary reflection on nature’s ever-changing beauty.

Dimensions: 41.5 X 42.5 inch
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
-
Fabric - Pure Katan Silk with Zari detailing
-
Collection Note - Rangkat is a handloom technique which is on the verge of disappearing. Only a handful of weavers remain that can weave a true Rangkat. This exquisite and time-intensive technique can be identified by the sharp changes in the base colours of the fabric. This requires multiple changes in the warp and the weft and produces a beautiful multicoloured fabric.
