Vintage Banarasi. Regal Mughal bootas in the extraordinary kadhua weave with hints of meenakari, beautiful floral bels and a perfectly elegant colour - all come together to make this enthralling handloom beauty.
-
Color - A beautiful and chic shade of Grey
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
-
Speciality - The gorgoues motifs, woven densely across the body are old Banarasi favourites which have stood the test of time. This is a little piece of handwoven history.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
