Mrinali
A reverie of brilliant shades, this saree has a plain silken body set against the most fabulous floral meenakari border and pallu. Traditional, time-honoured silken art, rendered in a distinctive choice of colour.
-
Color - A striking shade of Red
-
Technique - A classic handwoven Paithani; a technique that uses a zari warp to form a rich golden ground. An enduring kadwa weave and fine meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious kadwa (kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - An intricate Paithani style border and aanchal set against a plain body in lustrous silk. A truly enchanting handloom Banarasi textile.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
-
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
