Lavender Pure Kora Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree

A diaphanous lavender saree adorned with dainty floral bootis of resham and antique zari, artfully dispersed throughout the body. Inspired by the lush scenery and hues of Uttarakhand's Valley of Flowers, this is a gossamer drape of dreamlike handloom artistry.

• Fabric - Light and airy, pure Kora silk
• Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and Meenakari art. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
