Crafted with the finest artistry in real silver zari, this saree is a creation born from the hands of Banaras' most accomplished craftsmen. The drape, a radiant gold Katan silk, shimmers with a jangla pattern that delicately contrasts tenderly woven vines with starry maroon four-pointed shapes, inviting a sense of visual intrigue. Drawing from the rich legacy of Mughal artistry, the saree is adorned with small irises and poppies that grace both the body and borders.

Speciality

The chauthera style weave represents the pinnacle of textile artistry, requiring approximately 2.5 months to craft, with progress limited to a painstaking 3 inches per day. Each line involves up to 75 precise sirkis and 100 picks per inch, a testament to the meticulous skill of the artisans. The insertion of four meenakari enriches the weave, vibrantly colored extra weft yarns, woven alongside genuine zari threads made from pure silver metal.

Technique

The Kadhua technique is an intricate and labour-intensive process where each motif is hand-woven separately, creating a distinct and elevated pattern. Unlike other weaving methods, the technique requires more time on the handloom, as the weaver carefully interlaces each thread, ensuring that the design is independent of the fabric’s base weave. A painstaking process, marked by precision and patience, resulting in a timeless masterpiece.
