Monsoon Glory
This saree is an invitation to magical memories of Indian rains! Once favoured by the royalty and the nobility, luxurious peacock motif sarees make prized possessions. Woven in the finest Kadhua style with intricate Meenakari on resplendent silk, this is a rich and heritage piece.
-
Color - A marvellous shot colour with a warp of Black and a weft of Royal Blue
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and a classic Kadiyal technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Kadiyal helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - This season's favourites, and a Tilfi speciality, pieces with animal motifs are very trendy yet traditional. This saree represents the glorious confluence of many weaving elements, including Meenakari, Kadhua weaving and Kadiyal.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
