Exuding old-world charm, this is a timeless Banarasi masterwork. Recreated from a saree from our private collection, this is a lovingly handwoven katan silk classic with artistic kadhua weave paisley bootas along its border. Who wouldn't be captivated?
-
Color - A beautiful shade of Coke Brown
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure katan silk
-
Speciality - The intricate paisleys are old Banarasi favourites that have stood the test of time. The sarees also featured a delicate triad of paisleys, strategically placed to fall around the shoulder. This is a little piece of history.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure fabrics. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with a plain blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
