An Ode to Tradition
In the fine weaving techniques of Banaras, the enchanting colours of grey and turquoise and sublime tested zari, this beautiful saree is an ode to tradition. Delicately crafted light gold and antique zari bootis, woven in the exquisite Kadhua style and finely handspun Ektara silk. A rich, heritage piece.
-
Color - A gorgeous shade of Grey and Turquoise
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and classic Kadiyal technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Kadiyal helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - This saree represents the glorious confluence of many weaving elements, including Kadhua and Kadiyal weaving. It has beautiful, elaborate, Jamdani inspired border and pallu.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
