An utterly fabulous saree in a captivating combination of patterns and the finest confluence of weaves! An elegant silken body adorned with Kadhua bootis in zari, set against a contrasted, rich and artistically patterned skirt border and pallu in silk tissue.
-
Color - A striking shade of Midnight blue with a contrast border in Red
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process. True to form Kadiyal technique which helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Body in pure Katan Silk with a border in pure Silk Tissue
-
Speciality - A floral bootidaar pattern on a silken body and a dramatic and delicately shimmering kadiyal silk tissue border with meenakari motifs. Glorious art!
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
