Chitra - "Stolen Interview"
She held herself with such reserve. Too shy for the world; her feelings, too loud for words.
A dreamy, charming, old-fashioned classic with echoes from the past! A regal kadhua jangla pattern with a beautiful pallette and subtle meenakari accents. Sheer, understated elegance.
-
Color - An enchating shade of Peach
-
Technique - Classic handwoven Banarasi Meenakari art passed down through generations. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process. An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
-
Speciality - The elaborate jangla pattern and meenakari touches are old Banarasi favourites which have stood the test of time. This is a little piece of history!
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
-
Note - The saree comes with a plain blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes which can be order separately here.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
