A delightful Banarasi treat with a modern twist! An extravagant piece with a rich web of silver zari in an artistic, contemporary pattern; edged with a border and aanchal adorned with traditional, time-honoured bootis and kalgas. A beautiful blend of old and new, perfect for any special occasion.
-
Color - A beautiful shade of Silver Sage
-
Technique - Classic handwoven Banarasi Zari Vasket art passed down through generations. Border and pallu in an enduring Kadwa weave and fine meenakari. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
-
Speciality - Stunning geometric zari work created using a supplemental zari weft throughout the body of the saree. Elegant floral meena bootis and bootas adorn the antique zari border and pallu of this strikingly beautiful drape.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
-
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
