India’s new Parliament House has been in the spotlight since May 28 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it in a grand ceremony, as the country’s new seat of power. The triangular building designed by architect Bimal Patel, has also captured attention for its interiors from the peacock themed décor of the Lok Sabha and the influence of the lotus flower in the Rajya Sabha to smaller details such as Obeetee’s artisanal carpets across the floors crafted by around 900 weavers over 10 lakh man hours.
