The tiger, majestic and indomitable, represents the epitome of strength, prestige, and military prowess. In this frame, the tiger emerges with regal authority, moving with calculated grace. Its form comes alive in resham threads on a canvas of silk tissue, immortalized in fine Banarasi craftsmanship.

Dimensions: 12 X 17 inch
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Pure Katan Silk Tissue
-
Speciality - In Mughal iconography, the tiger stood as a symbol of the ideal ruler, embodying courage and dominion. Babur, the first Mughal emperor, bore its name, while Aurangzeb adorned its likeness as an emblem of power. This piece pays homage to the magnificence of the majestic creature that eventually came to be the national animal of our country.
