A diaphanous beige plain body Kora silk saree accentuated with dainty floral Meenakari bootis on a glistening Tissue silk border and pallu. Inspired by the lush scenery and delicate palettes of Uttarakhand's Valley of Flowers, this is a gossamer drape of dreamlike handloom artistry.
-
Color - A graceful shade of Beige
-
Fabric - Light and airy, pure Kora silk and a Tissue silk border
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and Meenakari art. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
