A woven ode to Kalamkari traditions and Deccan extravagance in real roopa sona zari. This lehenga unfolds a universe of fantastical florals that bloom with both grace and bold exuberance. Featuring a hand-embroidered waistband, it showcases a central Tree of Life motif symbolising growth and prosperity. Woven in lustrous satin silk with Kadhua meenakari, the lehenga brings Deccan imagination to life while remaining rooted in tradition.
The ensemble is paired with a handwoven katan silk dupatta, adorned with delicate floral vines and ornate boota corners. Handwoven borders, hand-embroidered accents and velvet facings lend the tissue odhani a touch of refined grace. Completing the look is a matching hand-embroidered elbow sleeved blouse that adds structure and poise to the ensemble.

Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and Meenakari. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but it makes a more robust pattern that stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
