Elaborate floral vines adorn the hem of this plain-bodied, handwoven lehenga in roopa sona zari. Delicate hand embroidery and meenakari accents add color and depth to this imaginative, lustrous garden. Leaves and petals flow lyrically, echoing the fluid artistry of traditional Kalamkari paintings. A marriage of Deccan imagination and Tilfi’s marked sophistication.
The lehenga is paired with a hand-embroidered silk organza dupatta featuring shimmery handwoven borders and velvet facings for a regal touch. An iconic Tilfi paisley adorns one corner, while dainty floral bootis scatter across its body. Complementing it is a Katan silk blouse with hand-embroidered accents that lend grace and structure to the ensemble.

Color - A rich shade of Navy Blue
-
Fabric - Lehenga Skirt and Blouse are in pure Katan Silk, Dupatta is in pure Organza Silk.
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and Meenakari. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but it makes a more robust pattern that stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.

Collection Note - A celebration of the imaginative artistry that flourished in the royal courts of the Deccan, Tilfi’s Bridal collection finds its roots in heritage. Inspired by the lyrical floral artistry of Kalamkari paintings, the collection evokes a surreal dreamscape where florals blur the line between the real and the imagined. Merging Deccan opulence and regalia with the symmetrical harmony of the Islamic school of art, it celebrates the continuity of tradition and the grandeur of a bygone world, while carrying a promise of a future shaped by vision and artistry.
