Chitragandha
A breathtaking Banarasi classic. This is an everlasting tanchoi saree adorned with the finest kadhua motifs and intricate borders in many-hued floral meenakari. A painstakingly patterned drape that enchants you with its kaleidoscope of colours and the extraordinary refinement of its composition.
-
Color - An elegant shade of Off-White
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave, fine Meenakari and classic Tanchoi techniques. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process. Tanchoi employs one or more warps and multiple coloured wefts to produce a self-design that covers the body of the fabric.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - A beautifully handwoven Tanchoi weave and a rich, floral zari border with intricate Meenakari. A stunning drape that pays homage to the best textile designing and weaving craftsmanship from Banaras. A textile that bears the distinctive signature of Jadunath Supakar.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
