Tracing the rhythm of night, this saree captures those fleeting moments when the moon begins its retreat and the last stars linger softly in the sky. Woven in the Kadhwa technique, phases of the moon grace the hem, while diagonal blooms grace the body in alternating zari and resham. Each motif is a fragment of twilight, a moment of retreat, return, and lingering light.

• Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.

• Collection note - The night sky becomes a canvas for Banaras’ enduring weaves. Fluid and weightless, georgette lends itself to the quiet grace of twilight, while fine kadhua artistry brings nocturnal blooms and celestial motifs to life. Moonflowers and jasmines, constellations and shifting phases of the moon, each motif emerges in zari and meenakari, a soft echo of dusk and dawn.
