Vintage Banarasi. This saree lets you be, the two things a woman should be - classy and fabulous! Regal, Mughal kadhua bootas with zari and Meenakari, beautiful artistic borders and an utterly unconventional diagonal jaal border.
-
Color - A graceful shot colour with a warp of Magenta and weft of Gajri Pink
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
-
Speciality - The elaborate motifs in the bootis and the border are old Banarasi favourites which have stood the test of time. This is a little piece of history.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure fabrics and genuine Banarasi handloom at a fair price

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But isn't it charming that no-one else will ever own this beauty handmade just for you?
