A King's Procession
A parade of elephants that is ever so stately, a chain of horses that is magnificent, colours that are regal and beautiful, and weaves that are enchanting - all come together in this saree that is simply...fascinating! Luxurious and incredibly detailed, this is a handcrafted passage through our weaving heritage.
-
Color - A marvellous shade of Purple with a contrast Gulabi Pink border
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and a classic Kadiyal technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Kadiyal helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - With a melange of motifs of birds, animals, flora and fauna, Shikaargah is a testament to the skill of our weavers and the wonders they are capable of. This saree represents the glorious confluence of many weaving elements, including Meenakari, Kadhua weaving and Kadiyal.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
