Parvaneh
An artistic treasure like none other. Incredibly difficult to weave and timeless in its appeal, a Banarasi Rangkat saree is a rare, handloom masterpiece. This exclusively crafted gem is embellished with a distinctive pure zari lattice jangla pattern and carefully placed multi-coloured floral meenakari bootis, on an exquisitely balanced multi-hued palette. Fine sections of shimmering tissue, deftly interlocked with multiple coloured yarns, makes this a weave of extraordinary distinction.
-
Color - Multiple rich and delicate colours
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Diaphanous and ethereal, pure Kora Silk
-
Speciality - Rangkat is a handloom technique that is on the verge of disappearing. Only a handful of weavers remain that can weave a true Rangkat. This exquisite and time-intensive technique can be identified by the sharp changes in the base colours of the fabric. This requires multiple changes in the warp and the weft and produces a beautiful multicoloured garment.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes only.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
